ADMISSION NOTICE FOR 2023-2024 SESSION

Higher and Technical Institute, Mizoram (HATIM) Admission for the 2023-2024 academic session opens from 19th May, 2023.
The list of available courses (full-time udergraduate courses) are:
• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
• Bachelor of Arts (English)
• Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy)
• Bachelor of Arts (History)
• Bachelor of Arts (Education)
• Bachelor of Arts (Psychology)
Admission Application Form: Candidates will be allowed to fill up the application forms both online (admission.hatim.ac.in) and offline (from the office). The admission processing fee will be Rs. 200.
Admission Process:
a) Candidates securing 60% (First Class) and above in Class 12 examination will be eligible for Direct Admission.
b) Candidates securing less than 60% marks in Class 12 examination will be given admission on First Come First Serve basis. Interviews will not be conducted for applicants.
c) Admission can be taken from the college office after submission of Application form with all the required documents.
d) Admission will remain open until the seats are full.
Hostel Admission: Candidates applying for Hostel Admission will be given seats on First Come First Serve basis. Application can be filled up from the college office during working hours.
Qualification Criteria for Admission: Considering the criteria laid out by Mizoram University, the qualification criteria of candidates who are eligible to take admission for the new Academic session are as below:
(i) Bachelor of Arts (BA): All streams with 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 for General and 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC.
(ii) Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): Only with Commerce background with 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 for General and 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC.
(iii) Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA): All streams with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 for General and 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC.
(iv) Bachelor of Social Work (BSW): All streams with 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 for General and 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC.
Reservation of seats: The following reservations can be made for the allotment of seats:
(i) 15% for Schedules Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 5% for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).
(ii) 5% for Lawngtlai District
(iii) 5% Sports Quota
(iv) 5% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
Institution Fees:
1) Admission Fee: ₹ 2,000
2) Monthly Fee:
• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): ₹2,600
• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA): ₹2,800
• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW): ₹2,800
• Bachelor of Arts (BA): ₹2,300
Notes:-
(i) All fees are compulsory unless otherwise decided by competent authority.
(ii) Admission fee and one month fee are compulsory at the time of admission.
(iii) Monthly fees may be paid monthly or semester-wise or in full for one year.
(iv) Practical fee for various BA courses will be collected @ Rs. 100 per paper monthly at the department.
(v) A discount of 25% of Academic Fees can be availed by children of BCM employees (contract and regular). The applicant must provide their parent’s employee certificate from the concerned department using a provided format from the college.
Hostel / Residence Fees:
1) Admission Fee: ₹1,000
2) Monthly Fee: ₹6,000
Notes:-
(i) Only HATIM regular students are admissible.
(ii) All fees are compulsory and are independent from Institution fees.
(iii) Admission fee and one month fee must be paid at the time of admission.
